Student Opportunities

Student Program Assistant

$11.50/hr; Part time; Undergraduate Students only
This position will assist the Training and Staff Development Coordinator in planning and managing employee programs and events for the Department of Transportation Services. This position requires an outgoing individual that will brainstorm activities and ideas for collaborative efforts throughout the department. Additionally, this position will work on diversity awareness for staff such as, facilitating small group conversations, creating a monthly diversity board, researching diversity-related articles, and planning diversity field trips.

Student Human Resources Assistant

$11.50/hr; 12-15 hours/week
The Student Human Resource Assistant (SHRA) works with and assists the Student Human Resources Manager in facilitating the recruitment and hiring process for student positions at the Department of Transportation Services. Additionally, the SHRA promotes a fun, supportive and professional work environment. The position requires approximately 12-15 hours a week with $11.50/hr compensation.

Student Customer Service Representative

$11.50/hr; part-time, undergraduate
The Student Customer Service Representatives at the Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) are responsible for delivering excellent customer service through active and accurate communication with all department customers. Representatives will serve as the first point of contact for all walk-in and telephone customers. They are expected to convey a detailed information regarding departmental policies and regulations to customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner. Students will work to build and maintain positive business relationships for the department with faculty, staff, and students by providing the highest quality customer service.
