Student Sign Shop Assistant

$10.25/HR; PART TIME
Under the direction of the Sign Shop Specialist & Marketing Coordinator, the Student Sign Shop Assistant will assist in the production of all materials coming out of the DOTS Sign Shop. The Student Sign Shop Assistant will aid in the design & layout of files, operating all devices within the sign shop, production of signage, and posting banners and advertisements across campus.

Student Program Assistant

$10.25/hr; Part time; Undergraduate Students only
This position will assist the Training and Staff Development Coordinator in planning and managing employee programs and events for the Department of Transportation Services. This position requires an outgoing individual that will brainstorm activities and ideas for collaborative efforts throughout the department. Additionally, this position will work on diversity awareness for staff such as, facilitating small group conversations, creating a monthly diversity board, researching diversity-related articles, and planning diversity field trips.

Student Sustainable Transportation Assistant

$10.25/hr; 20-25 hours/week (Summer) and 10-15 hours/week (Fall/Spring); Part-time; Undergraduate
The Sustainable Transportation Team at DOTS works to provide alternative commute, aka ‘Smart Commute’ options to the university community with the goal of influencing commute behaviors and reducing the number of vehicles that drive and park on campus. UMD Smart Commute programs include: vanpool, carpool, transit, bike, walk, telework, carshare and a variety of incentive programs.

Student Human Resources Assistant

$10.25/hr
The team of Human Resource Assistants works with the Human Resources Office in facilitating the recruitment and hiring process for full-time and student positions for DOTS, as well as promoting a fun, supportive and professional work environment. The position requires approximately 12-15 hours a week with $10.25/hr compensation.

Student Marketing Assistant

$10.25/hr; part-time, undergraduate
The Student Marketing Assistant plays an active role in engaging the campus community and promoting the UMD DOTS core messages and services. Under the direction of the Marketing & Design Coordinator and the Student Marketing Manager, the Marketing Assistant will represent the department at University-sponsored events and assist with the Shuttle-UM advertising program. This position will strive to broaden the reach of the DOTS community and encourage positive interaction between DOTS and the University of Maryland Community.

Student Drivers

$13.00/hr
DOTS Shuttle-UM drivers provide safe, dependable and timely transportation to the university community. This position includes paid training, flexible hours and opportunities for advancement.
