Was Your Vehicle Relocated Before a Basketball game?

Here's where and how to retrieve it.

Any motor vehicle parked in violation of towable offenses in the UMD parking regulations or that is in a state of disrepair or abandoned on campus is subject to removal and impoundment at the expense of the owner or operator.

The following conditions are towable offenses:

  • Vehicles associated with any individual who has received five or more outstanding parking violations that are more than 15 days old.
  • Vehicles associated with any individual who has received more than 12 citations during a consecutive 12-month period may be impounded regardless of the payment status of those citations. The vehicle will be eligible for impoundment each time a new citation is issued.
  • Vehicles that are not moved after 90 days.
  • Vehicles parked illegally in roadways, fire lanes, disabled/transfer areas, areas marked as tow-away zones, and other public safety areas as designated in the parking regulations.
  • Vehicles displaying lost, stolen or altered DOTS permits/CLPR and/or State-issued disabled permits. These permits may be confiscated by university officials and the holder may be referred to the Office of Student Conduct for judicial proceedings.
