FOOTBALL NON-ATTENDEE PARKING

 GAME DAY CAMPUS ROAD CLOSURES

Some campus roads are closed for home football games. If you are coming to campus, make sure you know which entrance to use to access your lot.

STUDENT HOME GAME DAY PARKING

Students should carefully review the vehicle relocation requirements well in advance of game day. Most students will need to move their vehicles to alternate locations by 11:59 p.m. the Friday before each home game, or by 2 a.m. the Saturday morning of each home game.

RESIDENT STUDENTS ON GAME DAY

Residents who park in Lots 3 and 11 must relocate to Terrapin Trail Garage or Mowatt Lane Garage by the time indicated on posted lot signs (see more vehicle relocation requirements). You may relocate your vehicle beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday.

All registered vehicles must be parked in their assigned parking lot by 7 a.m. on the Monday following the home game to avoid a citation.

COMMUTER STUDENTS ON GAME DAY

Commuter student parking registrations are not valid on game days and student UID cards will not grant you access to campus lots. However, several options for home game parking are available to you:

  1. Mowatt Lane Garage (as space is available).
  2. Request an access permit: Students may pick up an Access Permit from DOTS prior to game day. Requests must be made in person at the DOTS office on Monday to Friday (8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) before the football game. The Access Permits are valid in Terrapin Trail Garage.
  3. On-site game day permit purchase: On game day, you may purchase a single game permit on-site at Terrapin Trail Garage. The cost of a single permit is $25-$45 depending on the game tier and must be purchased using credit or debit cards. These permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis only.

FACULTY/STAFF FOOTBALL HOME GAME PARKING

Many campus lots will be restricted to only allow access to game day permit holders beginning six hours before kickoff. We recommend that you review vehicle relocation requirements well in advance of game day.

Faculty and staff coming to campus on football game days MUST show their Faculty/Staff UID card in order to access non-Terrapin Club reserved parking areas. Attendants are instructed to check for UID cards and admit at all lots except for 1, Z, JJ, Stadium Drive Garage, Union Lane Garage, Q, K2, MM1, MM3, N4, R2, R3 and S7. UID cards marked ‘student’ are not valid for entry into campus parking lots on game day.

Faculty and staff who normally park in a lot that is restricted to game day permit holders may park in any unrestricted lot with their Faculty/Staff UID.

ACCESS PERMITS

Employees without a UID must request an access permit from DOTS before noon on the Friday before each home game. Requests must be made in person at the DOTS office on Monday to Friday (8:15 a.m. - 4 p.m.) before the football game. Access permits are valid for Regents Drive Garage or Terrapin Trail Garage if Regents Drive Garage is full.

OTHER OPTIONS

Employees who are unable to present their UID at the time of arrival and do NOT have an access permit may park in Mowatt Lane Garage (if space is available) at no charge or pay $25-$45 depending on the game tier for on-site parking in Terrapin Trail Garage. Paid on-street parking is also available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout campus.

GAME DAY CAMPUS ROAD CLOSURES

STADIUM DRIVE BETWEEN SDG NORTH ENTRANCE AND THE RDG ENTRANCE WILL BE CLOSED 4 HOURS BEFORE THE GAME TO 2 HOURS AFTER THE END OF THE GAME.

Anyone accessing the Denton, Ellicott and Heritage Communities, as well as the Eppley Recreation Center and Center for Young Children must enter campus at University Blvd. and Stadium Dr. You won't be able to access these locations if you enter from Paint Branch Drive or Baltimore Avenue.

FARM DRIVE WILL BE CLOSED DURING GAMES.

Only faculty and staff permit holders and game day permit holders will be admitted to the lots around the Cambridge Community, Jull Hall and the Atlantic Building. Anyone looking to enter these lots should enter campus from Baltimore Avenue or Paint Branch Drive.

NON-ATTENDEE VISITOR HOME GAME PARKING

Visitors who are not attending the football game should pursue one of the following on-campus parking options:

  1. In advance of the game, pre-purchase a game day parking permit online for $20-$40 depending on the game tier.
  2. On game day, purchase a parking permit on-site at Terrapin Trail Garage for $25-$45 depending on the game tier. Credit and debit payments only.
  3. Park in Mowatt Lane Garage (if space is available) at no charge.
  4. Pay for on-street parking, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout campus.

We do not recommend relying on paid on-street parking or availability inside Mowatt Lane Garage due to the high volume of visitors that attend football games.

Football parking permits will be valid starting 6 hours prior to kickoff. Game day setup and tailgating is also permitted beginning 6 hours prior to kickoff. Tailgating is not permitted after the game ends.
