Basketball Parking Impact

For both conference and non-conference games, these lots are closed four hours prior to tipoff and require a game day permit or Faculty/Staff permit to enter:

Lots 4b, 6 (Terrapin Trail Garage), 9b, 11b, NN, P1, P2, UU, XX1, XVL, Stadium Drive Garage and Regents Drive Garage

NOTE: parking regulations may change for individual games. Permit holders will be notified of such changes via email in advance.

Vehicle relocation is NOT required for non-conference games. However, the affected basketball lots are closed four hours prior to tip off until one hour after tip off. Students and visitors who attempt to park in basketball lots during the closed times will be redirected to park in Lot 1. The affected lots can be accessed one hour after tip off.

Only faculty and staff who present their UID or those with game day permits may enter the lot during the closed times.

All basketball lots will close four hours prior to tipoff and require a game day permit or faculty/staff permit to enter.

Vehicle relocation is required for commuter students and guests who park in lots 4b, 6 (terrapin trail garage), 9b, 11b, NN, p1, p2, UU and XX1.

Commuter students and guests parked in the lots listed directly above MUST move their vehicles three hours prior to tipoff. Vehicles that are not moved will be cited and relocated. Parking will be available to registrants in Lot 1. Faculty and staff are not required to relocate.

ACADEMIC CONFLICTS

If you have an academic conflict that affects your ability to move your car on a specific game day, you can submit this Basketball Game Day Relocation Accommodation Request to gain access to park in Lot 1 sooner. Forms must be submitted before the day of the game. Exceptions will not be made on game day or any time after the game.

FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

The Graduate Student Government (GSG) offers a limited number of Game Day Permits to graduate students. Game Day Permits are available for basketball games only. Please contact your GSG representative for more information about these permits.

The following permit holders are not required to relocate from their assigned lots:

  • Lot 6 Resident permit holders

  • Lot 11 Overnight permit holders

  • Graduate Student Access permit holders

  • Stadium Drive Garage permit holders

While vehicle relocation is not required for the above permit holders, the basketball lots are still restricted 4 hours prior to tip off until one hour after tip off. Registrants in these lots attempting to park in their lots during the restricted hours will be redirected to Lot 1.

Faculty and staff may continue to access basketball lots during home games by showing their UID to lot attendants.
