SHUTTLE-UM
UMD College Park is proudly home to one of the nation’s largest university transit services with 19 fixed routes that traverse campus and the surrounding neighborhoods. Shuttle service is based on the academic calendar with reduced service when classes are not in session. View our schedules and routes before planning your next commute.
WMATA
METRORAIL
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) operates the regional MetroRail and MetroBus transit systems to connect students to the region for internships, work, fun and enrichment. Students can take the Shuttle-UM 104 to the College Park Metro Station and from there, it’s a quick ride to Downtown Washington, DC, Baltimore and Reagan National Airport. Bike to or from the College Park Metro Station using your University Membership to Capital Bikeshare or Veo, WMATA’s Bike & Ride swipe-access bicycle parking, and the beautiful Anacostia Tributary Trail. During the week, students can also take the Shuttle-UM 111 Silver Spring to the Silver Spring Metro station or the Shuttle-UM 126 New Carrollton to the New Carrollton Metro station. METROBUS & PG COUNTY THE BUS
In addition to the MetroRail system, WMATA and The Bus also operate a number of buses in the area.

- M42 to CHERRY HILL from COLLEGE PARK
- M44 to HYATTSVILLE XING from PLUM ORCHARD
- The Bus P37 to COLLEGE PARK STATION from NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE + ADELPHI RD
METRO LIFT

MTA COMMUTER BUS
The MTA Commuter Bus provides express transit service from far reaching suburbs in Maryland to DC, Baltimore and College Park. Maryland Transit Administration operates 27 commuter bus routes. Route 204 provides service between Frederick and College Park. There is no weekend service on this route.

MARC TRAIN
The MARC Train is a commuter rail system whose service areas include Harford County, Maryland; Baltimore City; Washington D.C.; Brunswick, Maryland; Frederick, Maryland and Martinsburg, West Virginia. MARC Train Service operates Monday through Friday with limited weekend service on the Penn Line. The MARC train offers a quick and convenient way to get to Downtown Washington, D.C., Baltimore and BWI.
The MARC’s Camden Line connects Baltimore (Camden Station) to Washington, DC (Union Station) via the College Park Metro Station. There is no weekend service on this line.
