HOW TO REQUEST A NITE RIDE
The best way to request a NITE Ride is through the Terp Ride App. Students may also request a NITE Ride by calling 301-314-3687 (DOTS).
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- You must be in your pick-up location when you request a NITE Ride.
- Mornings are NITE Ride’s busiest time. Give yourself at least 30 minutes to get where you’re going.
- Your pick up time may jump around, as the NITE Ride algorithm updates with every ride scheduled. NITE Ride also prioritizes picking people up over dropping people off. You may find that a group who gets on after you, gets off before you as the algorithm updates with a new route showing the fastest way to pick up and drop off the most people.
- If you need immediate assistance or feel unsafe, you can call for a walking escort from the UMD Police Auxiliary 301-405-3555. They will get to you as quickly as possible and get you where you need to go safely.
