Alternate Transportation Resources for Riders:
Transit Provider Maps: These maps show how routes from other area transit providers overlap Shuttle-UM commuter routes. Riders may also use Google Maps’ trip planning tool to view alternative transit schedules.
Parking: Summer permits are on sale for students and employees who will park on campus most days a week. View student permit information or faculty/staff permit information to determine your best option.
Local Walking and Biking Paths: The Capital Trails Coalition map shows a network of multi-use trails around campus and throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan region.
Veo: Veo is our e-bike and e-scooter share. You can find Veo stations throughout campus and the City of College Park and University Park.
Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH): Provided through Commuter Connections, GRH offers employees who take transit at least twice a week a free and reliable ride home when one of life's unexpected emergencies arise. Sign up at commuterconnections.org/guaranteed-ride-home.
UMPD 24-Hour Walking Escort Service: UMPD provides a 24-hour walking escort service for all members of the campus community. Call 301-405-3555 to request an escort.
