Parking

Parking restrictions on campus will be modified from Tuesday, December 11 to Sunday, January 27.

December 11 - December 17: Exam Week Parking Restrictions

Any vehicle with OR without a current DOTS permit or CLPR may park in Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 16 and 17. Faculty/staff lots and visitor parking is enforced as usual. Restrictions for athletics events still apply.

December 18 - 19: Commencement

On Tuesday, December 18 and Wednesday, December 19, parking will be available in any campus parking space. Meters will not require payment. While no special permits are needed, ADA credentials are still required in marked ADA spaces.

Vehicles heading to the Campus-Wide ceremony on Tuesday, December 18 will be directed to the parking area closest to the Xfinity Center. ADA accessible parking will be available in Terrapin Trail Garage.

As both of these days are weekdays, please note that your lot may be more full than usual and traffic on campus will be heavier than usual. We recommend planning extra time on your commute. More information about parking and shuttles during commencement is available on the UMD Commencement website

December 20 - January 27: Winter Break & Winter Term Parking Restrictions

Any vehicle with OR without a current DOTS permit or CLPR may park in Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11,16 and 17. Faculty/staff lots and visitor parking is enforced as usual. Restrictions for athletics events still apply.

In addition to the modified parking restrictions listed above, note that there is always the possibility that ongoing construction may necessitate some additional lot and road closures, and the physical boundaries of some lots could change before the start of the spring semester to accommodate short and long term projects. Separate emails with details surrounding any additional modifications would be sent to the affected permit holders.
