Student Training Advisor

Job Type/Requirements:
The Department of Transportation  Services (DOTS) is looking for enthusiastic individuals with excellent public speaking, written communication, and presentation skills to fill the position of Training Advisor.  The Training  Advisor reports to the Training Coordinator in facilitating training programs for new employees and assisting in the coordination of learning experiences for students and full-time staff. In addition to these tasks, the candidate will also be responsible for assisting with internal programming for diversity events and professional development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating existing training programs in diversity, customer service, time management, and sexual misconduct & civil rights training

  • Updating existing trainings and searching for new information regarding existing trainings

  • Assisting in the planning and production of large-scale community events

  • Assisting Student Program Assistant with diversity and professional development planning

The student should:

  • Possess excellent communication and organization skills

  • Be able to work in a team environment

  • Appreciate learning, involvement, and multiculturalism

  • Have the ability to work with PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Gmail, SharePoint, and Canva
